IUS Life / ELS Participates in Erasmus+ Staff Week at the University of Seville

From May 11 to 15, 2026, representatives of IUS Lifelong Learning Center – IUS Life and English Language School (ELS) - Mirsada Mehremić and Elvedina Omeragić - took part in the Erasmus+ Staff Week organized by the University of Seville, Spain.

This international mobility offered a valuable opportunity to connect with one of Europe’s oldest and most respected academic institutions, whose history dates back to 1505. Throughout the week, participants visited several faculties and academic units located across the University’s campuses, gaining broader insight into its academic structure and institutional practices.

As one of the largest universities in Spain, the University of Seville includes 27 academic centers, among them faculties, higher technical schools, and affiliated institutions. It offers a wide range of study programs, including more than 50 undergraduate degrees and around 90 master’s programs in areas such as engineering, health sciences, social sciences, humanities, natural sciences, arts, and architecture.

During the Staff Week, participants were introduced to a number of institutional initiatives and projects, with particular emphasis on the Ulysseus European University Alliance, coordinated by the University of Seville. The event brought together more than 150 Erasmus+ Staff Week participants from Europe and Africa, creating a dynamic setting for the exchange of ideas through presentations and discussions on internationalization, mobility, digital transformation, and innovation in education.

In addition to the academic program, participants also had the opportunity to discover the rich cultural and historical heritage of Seville and the wider Andalusia region, making the experience even more meaningful and enriching.

Participation in events such as this reflects IUS’s continued commitment to international cooperation, professional development, and active engagement in European academic exchange programs.
