TOEFL iBT exam results are accepted only if obtained from university-administered test centers in Türkiye. Scores from other centers in Türkiye, such as private language schools or similar institutions, will not be recognized as valid proof of English language proficiency by the International University of Sarajevo.

Students will submit the "ORIGINAL" score sheet from TOEFL iBT /IELTS "IN PERSON" to the ELS Administration for review and a follow-up interview. Test-taker copies downloaded from the Internet are not accepted by IUS as proof of English language proficiency. The validity period for such exam scores is as stated on the score sheet.

ISTANBUL TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY

The required minimum score to start the program:

1. ITU Proficiency Exam – minimum 65 points out 100
2. IUS Proficiency Exam - minimum 65 points out 100

In the following cases, prospective students will be exempted from the ELS Proficiency Exam if they have:

1. TOEFL iBT – minimum 79 points
2. Obtained a high school/BA/MA diploma/degree in a native English-speaking country
3. High-school diploma from one of the internationally recognized English medium programs below:

a.AICE diploma: Cambridge Advanced International Certificate of Education

b.IB diploma: International Baccalaureate

Students who attend the English Language Program must sit for the Proficiency Exam at the end of B2 level. These students can't be exempt from the Proficiency Exam based on their B2 level scores.

ISTANBUL UNIVERSITY

The required minimum score to start the program:

IUS Proficiency Exam - minimum 65 points out 100 for the following programs:

• Economics
• Management
• Law

IUS Proficiency Exam - minimum 70 points out 100 for the following programs:

• Political Science and International Relations

In the following cases, prospective students will be exempted from the ELS Proficiency Exam if they have:

2. Obtained a high school/BA/MA diploma/degree in a native English-speaking country
